Drawing on the true history and culture of the Ancient Maya this taut, action filled adventure transports you to the jungles of Meso-America. There, in Belize, a trio of vacationing American archeologists visiting the ancient Mayan site of Caracol are drawn into a search for a lost city deep in the jungle. Along the way they become captivated by the enigmatic culture of the Maya, a once mighty civilization that has mysteriously disappeared leaving only the towering remains of their temples as mute testimony to the nature of their past glory. In their quest to unearth the mysteries of the lost city the characters not only learn about the Maya, but also learn about themselves. In the course of doing so they find a priceless treasure while simultaneously becoming the instruments by which the revenge of a long dead Mayan king is exacted. |
